Why is this? The frustrating thing is that I think that window actually does give you some control. But it's completely undocumented, and not obvious what it actually does. BTW - this version is totally broken for me as well.

I was eagerly waiting for this update since I bought Synergy 2 last December, only to realize that proxy authentication and configuration is not supported (something which I think you should mention somewhere in your page, seeing as how a lot of people rely on proxy functionality, instead of baiting unsuspecting buyers). When I contacted support about this they said the proxy support was going to be released in a few days, and they asked me if I could wait a bit instead of getting a refund. I took their advice since I genuinely thought the feature was coming. ... [ Config ] [2018-04-26T15:08:51] error: Reply status code: 0 And I can't even touch the configuration because you insist on making everything automatic! (even if said automation doesn't work whatsoever). I agree, I was an avid user to Synergy 1, donated several times, and jump to the chance to get Synergy 2. But this, we need configuration options! If you don't want common users to get them, ok, just, don't know, read an environment variable "YesIKnowWhatImDoingSynergy" that we have to declare to get to the configuration! It's really frustrating, because there are a billion edge cases you can't cover but used to work with Synergy 1. Give us power user options! tl;dr: STOP TRYING TO AUTOCONFIGURE EVERYTHING!!! jbear
I've used version 1 off and on for years. Love it! I installed version 2.0.10 and wondered where my configuration options have gone??!?! I understand the need to make it extremely simple for some users but there should be at least an advanced button some where. How do I know encryption is turned on? I'm sure its on by default but how do I prove that to my security team if I decide to use this at work? I guess I'm suppose to cross my fingers that it's all working like it should. dccrens
Just wanted to say I had issues with the mouse cursor jumping back to the server in version 2.0.10 stable. Just updated to 2.0.11 stable and everything is working. Good job!
Steven Rogers
I updated to version 2.0.11 - still completely non-functional. MacOS 10.13.4 on both machines. The display sometimes has a progress bar. What does that mean? I have no idea and no way to figure it out.
Gordon
As a long time synergy user (and cheerleader), I am sorry to say that I too have been tempted by the promise of 2.0, only to give up and downgrade because it does not work on my setup. The complete lack of configuration and user feedback in 2.0 is extremely frustrating and just plain bad design. There no reason to leave the user guessing as to why a program is not working. I can't believe I have to write this in 2018! After my last attempt, I decided get off the upgrade/downgrade roller coaster. I have moved on and installed another product, which by the way, has configuration screens, etc.
GranPaSmurf
TO REVERT TO VERSION 1.0 https://symless.com/contact They will first ask you about the problem. That's not to see if you 'qualify,' it's another way for the developers to focus on issues. It's optional. That link is on the top page of the website, under "Contact"
