Greg Siklos Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I have been searching far and wide for a solution to my hidden mouse Problem when logging into my Ubuntu machine. As it turns out it is a matter of opening terminal and putting "gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.cursor active false" (minus the Quotes) worked like a charm for me. I found the information on a blog at http://www.johnnyshongo.com/blog/entry/ ... sor-ubuntu . you can check it out for yourself he may have some other tidbits too
Nick Horvath Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I have a similar issue, but my mouse will show itself every other time I enter the client. Literally every other time, if i mouse out and in it will show the cursor, out and in again and it stays invisible (but usable if i click somewhere it actually clicks there), out and in again and it is visible again. The gsettings thing didn't help me. (Ubuntu 15.10 client, Windows 10 Server) UPDATE: it was actually a network issue. I was experiencing intermitent wifi. I updated my wifi firmware according to this chart: https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/use ... rs/iwlwifi which fixed my intermittent wifi issues. This must have been a side effect of that because it's gone now.
