Amrik Randhawa
Installing updates right now is a bit of a pain. Here's the current process: 1 - A notice appears in the Synergy config box indicating that a new version is available (hopefully the user sees this) 2 - Click the link and get taken to the webpage 3 - Log in to your account 4 - Select version, initiate download 5 - Run installer / drag-and-drop to replace binary 6 - Run through install process, and re-log in again 7 - Re-launch Synergy Having an updater tool built in that would automatically update to the latest version would be very helpful and would take these 7 steps down to just one. It could even be transparent to users if they selected a preference to enable auto-updates.
Thorbjørn Bruarøy
This will also make update better on the clients. In my experience the software now needs to be properly closed before updating. This makes it necessary to have an extra keyboard laying around (or move keyboard from computer to computer) for the installation process, and the wizard afterwards. Not a big deal - but would still be a great feature.
