Synergy server doesn't stop unless process is manually killed in task manager

Hello,

I'm running a synergy server on a Windows 10 64-bit machine with a Mac client. It generally works fine, but when I go to stop the synergy server in the GUI, the synergy session persists even though the GUI shows "Synergy is not running." The logs however, continue to show screen switch INFO events. 

As far as I can tell, the only way to stop it is to kill the process in task manager. Any ideas of how to fix?
