fpb4
Morning folks - experience over here not overly symless...trying to setup Synergy between debian stretch server and windows 7 vm client, as a paid user for both Synergy 1 & 2 beta. Here's the deal - Synergy available on Debian repo is 1.4.16-2, which gives issues with the windows client - 1.10.1-stable (Warning: Failed to connect to server: incompatible client 1.5). I've read somewhere that Synergy requires the same version on both the server and the client - Ok, fair enough, but this is where things start to getting messy. Downloaded a copy of synergy_1.10.1.stable_*.deb, satisfied dependency (libavahi-compat-libdnssd1)...and...segfaulting upon start up with (mininal) backtrace: Thread 1 "synergy" received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00007ffff7fe80f9 in ?? () from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/xcbglintegrations/libqxcb-glx-integration.so Compile from source? A bit of a hassle for a licenced user.... Any help/leads much appreciated chaps, thank you.
