How to use clients mouse and keyboard not the server one?

Hi all, 

Is it possible to use as peripheral devices (keyboard and mouse) from the client side?

Here is the situation:

Server: no keyboard no mouse

client: laptop (has mouse and keyboard)

In order to use my laptop mouse and keyboard, I have to make the laptop server, then on the pc to connect mouse and keyboard start synergy on the pc as a client and then to connect to the server which is the laptop, and then I can detach from the pc mouse and the keyboard. It's annoying to do this really.

 

Both machines runs with Fedora 28

I handle this by using a wireless keyboard and mouse and just moving the receiver over temporarily. Your other choice is keeping a small keyboard and mouse plugged into the PC all the time.
