Synergy scaled resolution issue

Setup: 1.10.0, Mac server, Windows client

The mouse drifts ups when using it on the Windows client. This issue seems to have been raised back in 2016:

However it doesn't seem like the fix was put into subsequent releases? Is there some new workaround?
