crashed Chrome on latest CentOS

So I'm using Synergy on a pretty bone-stock CentOS system kept up with latest patches. It has been extremely stable-- Chrome has never, ever crashed and the last reboot was after the last kernel update weeks ago.

When I started up Synergy 2 and clicked the button nothing visible happened. Then Chrome crashed about 30 seconds later. After Chrome restarted and I chose to restore sessions, there was a tab with my account page. I reloaded it and Synergy got happy.

Hmm, that's super weird. The only way that Synergy uses Chrome is for activation, and that's simply to open a link.

Do you think it could be pure coincidence that Chrome crashed?
