Mickel
Greetings to all, I just installed the Synergy2 and wanted to give it a try. The issue I am facing right now and is blocking me is that it occasionally disconnects. As already mentioned here on the forums its the issue with multiple IP addresses. As I am extensively using VirtualBox I am having multiple virtual networks that are just used with VM's. And this probably causes the server "...to be dead". Is there a way I can configure in a conf file on what IP address it should listen ? Also where can I find it ? Many thanks Michal
Mickel
ok, did find it in c:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Symless\Synergy\synergy.conf Is this conf file used by Synergy2 beta? just wondering, as I did not see a message in logs that would say its using this exactly file. jaap aarts
it looks like the config file from synergy2. but if you want to use multiple IP addresses right now try using the synergy-core(CLI) its free and open source and fully configurable. FC-DHart
I'm having a similar issue in that I need to configure the IP address of my server machine because it goes between wired and wireless occasionally and that has messed with the IP address Synergy listens to. Currently I cannot get my systems to talk because it's listening on an IP that DNS has reassigned to another computer on the network and I need to force an IP. My config file does not have a line stating the IP address, where should it go? section: screens DHART-SP: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 DHART-MAC.local: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 end section: links DHART-SP: left(1.72414,100) = DHART-MAC.local(0,98.2759) DHART-MAC.local: right(0,98.2759) = DHART-SP(1.72414,100) end section: options relativeMouseMoves = false screenSaverSync = true win32KeepForeground = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 end
