duk242
Any way we can remap the meta/alt keys to be the other way around? The old version had that as a config option, if I try to manually put the lines in my config file, it just overrides it when it reloads the config alt = meta meta = alt The reason behind this option is I'm using a Windows Keyboard on my PC which is the Synergy server for my Mac, so the Alt Key on the Keyboard should be the Command Key, and the Windows key should be the Alt Key. The other option that'd be nice is the ability to stop Synergy from taking focus when I move from one screen to the other (it was an option in the old version like Admin mode or something?). For example if Chrome is open and I move over to the other computer, chrome will lose focus until I move back. Also, the way you're making the Synergy config screen come up tricks a lot of gaming software into thinking it's a game. For example, nVidia GeForce Experience will overlay an FPS counter in the corner, and plays.tv will record that section of the screen. Not a big deal as you can blacklist it in those programs, but something to note! Thanks Ducky

Thank you, that thought had not occurred to me yet, I am sure I would have noticed it when actually using it for work, not simply playing around with it. Also the second point you make there, I thought I was seeing it behave strangely but shrugged it off to being tired. Guess it was stealing focus unlike the v1. Synergy Team Nick Bolton Posted September 23, 2017 Synergy Team Share Posted September 23, 2017 We miss this too. It'll be in an upcoming beta (maybe beta6).
atwixtor
One solution could be to somehow register Synergy as a virtual USB or BT keyboard, so that you can select and change the modifier keys natively in OSX. My Mac Mini has no keyboard, so therefore I cannot use the OSX Change Modifier Keys feature - nothing is saved because there is no keyboard (Even if i hit OK). That could not only add more power to it, but even permit extra keys and other things from 'special' keyboards to be mapped properly.
Allan Jackson
Yes! My use-case is that I'm on a Mac server with Windows client, and when I want to copy/paste between the two systems, I have to use cmd-c/v on one and ctrl-c/v on the other. Makes copying/pasting between the two really awkward.
Synergy Team Nick Bolton Posted October 31, 2017 Synergy Team Share Posted October 31, 2017 Sadly we couldn't squeeze the key swapping feature into 2.0.0, but we'll try to get this into 2.0.1 or soon after. Anyway, get the latest version here: Synergy-v2.0.0-beta5
