Pass hot keys thru to host to execute shell script.

I have two windows machines and 1 fedora workstation machine. the fedora machine is the host machine. I have set-up hot-keys that allow me to switch the monitor between machines.

The hot keys execute shell scripts that send serial commands to my monitor.

I can only execute these from the linux machine.

I need help capturing these keys prior to sending them to the windows machine OS so I can switch between machines without having he cursor in Linux first.
