MardyMarvin Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Hi, I was just wondering why with this new version it has to go out to the internet in order for it to work ? Is it because its a Beta or is this how the final version is going to be ?
Paul Suarez Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 Hi @MardyMarvin. Synergy v2 uses cloud configuration that's why it needs access to the internet. This is also due to the full automation to be implemented. For v1.x, if ever that both machines are on the same network but can't communicate with each other, blind troubleshooting is most likely to be the way to find things out. For v2, since both machines are connected to the Internet, they can both report that they can't see each other in a more understandable way. We are planning to add an offline mode in the future in case our servers are down.
