MikeFrizz
Hello, I tried to connect with 3 Ubuntu Mint clients with my Windows 7 Pro Server. I have no problems with Windows 10 and (after a manually Installation of the Bonjour Service) Windows7 clients. My Mac runs as well. But the Linux Mint clients did not. The debug level 2 told me the message below: NOTE: connecting to '192.168.178.40': 192.168.178.40:24800 [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG1: connecting to server [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG1: connected; wait for hello [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: readf(Synergy%2i%2i) [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: readf: read 2 byte integer: 1 (0x1) [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: readf: read 2 byte integer: 6 (0x6) [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG1: got hello version 1.6 [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG1: say hello version 1.6 [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: writef(Synergy%2i%2i%s) [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: wrote 26 bytes [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: msg from server: QINF [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG1: sending info shape=0,0 1920x1080 [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: writef(DINF%2i%2i%2i%2i%2i%2i%2i) [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: wrote 18 bytes [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: msg from server: CIAK [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG1: recv info acknowledgment [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: msg from server: EUNK [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG: retry in 1 seconds [2017-07-03T18:56:16] ERROR: server refused client with name "supermintze" [2017-07-03T18:56:16] WARNING: failed to connect to server: server refused client with our name [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: can't read property 586 on window 0x01200119 [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: can't read property 586 on window 0x01200119 [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: can't read property 586 on window 0x01200119 [2017-07-03T18:56:16] DEBUG2: can't read property 586 on window 0x01200119 [2017-07-03T18:56:17] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.178.40': 192.168.178.40:24800 [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG1: connecting to server [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG1: connected; wait for hello [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: readf(Synergy%2i%2i) [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: readf: read 2 byte integer: 1 (0x1) [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: readf: read 2 byte integer: 6 (0x6) [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG1: got hello version 1.6 [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG1: say hello version 1.6 [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: writef(Synergy%2i%2i%s) [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: wrote 26 bytes [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: msg from server: QINF [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG1: sending info shape=0,0 1920x1080 [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: writef(DINF%2i%2i%2i%2i%2i%2i%2i) [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: wrote 18 bytes [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: msg from server: CIAK [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG1: recv info acknowledgment [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG2: msg from server: EUNK [2017-07-03T18:56:17] DEBUG: retry in 1 seconds [2017-07-03T18:56:17] ERROR: server refused client with name "supermintze" [2017-07-03T18:56:17] WARNING: failed to connect to server: server refused client with our name How can I solve this problem? Paul Suarez
Hi @MikeFrizz! Please provide more details about your machines (OS, 32/64 bit, Synergy version installed, connected to the network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, specify which one is the server). Also, post a screenshot of both machine's Synergy interface and the Server Configuration interface on your server machine.
