Duplicate "CTRL"-Keypress to my other machine

Hi, i want to configure Synergy to send only the CTRL Keypress to the other PC. If there is an "duplicate Keyboard" option, that would be sufficient. I can only configure CTRL+A (for example). When i try to configure the Hotkey to keystroke(Control) it waits for another keypress and then recognizes a combination of keypresses. How do i configure "CTRL" to be sent exactly as it is, or re-route CTRL to CTRL+a or something? How do i configure the server?

Oh, and by the way, i need this to work even if the mouse cursor isn't on the other PC.

Please provide more details about your machines (OS, 32/64 bit, Synergy version installed, connected to the network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, specify which one is the server). Are you planning to send just one hotkey? or multiple hotkeys?

Both machines run Windows 10 64 bit connected by ethernet running Synergy 1.8.8-stable.... etc. I need at least one hotkey duplicated and available on both machines. When i press CTRL on the server, both machines should recieve that input, and not only the "active" screen. I think you can do this with CTRL+A for example, but i dont want a combination of keypresses, i just want CTRL to be pressed on both machines. The configuration window doesn't accept CTRL only, it only accepts a CTRL+A combination. What can i do?
