ShadowofReason Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Last night as I was taking screenshots for the following post: Synergy managed to crash totally and since then I haven't been able to get it up.. I upgraded to the latest 1.9.0 rc3 version and even that hasn't been able to solve my problem. I get stuck on "Synergy is starting" and I get no log output (Log level: debug). I confirmed that the service is running and that there is a cf<PID_HERE> file in my temp folder. Solution I tried, but didn't work.. sc delete synergy -> uninstall synergy -> reboot -> reinstall synergy -- Since I'm using synergy for my work, I need the server side up A.S.A.P. All suggestions are welcome. -- PS. Why do you have a IRC channel if no-one is capable of answering there ? [12:00] == ShadowofReason [543438ec@gateway/web/freenode] has joined #synergy [12:07] <ShadowofReason> Well bang me sideways. Synergy managed to go kaput on me out of the blue. Anyone got any idea what should i check? Because synergy is stuck on starting and no output is being generated under DEBUG .... [12:17] <ShadowofReason> No ideas? [12:19] <ShadowofReason> The service is running, the conf is being generated into the temp folder. The only problem is that I cannot get the server up after yesterdays crash. Maybe there's some cache I need to flush manually or something?
ShadowofReason Posted June 13, 2017 Author Posted June 13, 2017 Solved. I decided to use "system restore" to undo any damage that Synergy did to itself. I still should have the crash dumps.
