huubhuub Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Hi, My macbook server refuses to listen to a hotkey. Mac and windows clients work fine. I have the hotkey fix version from http://www.twitchy.net/Synergy/ I run 10.12.5 and have tried the general mac version and the 10.11 version. Is there any way to make this work? This was basically the reason I bought Synergy. Thanks Huub lelieveld Netherlands
huubhuub Posted May 26, 2017 Author Posted May 26, 2017 If I make a connected PC the server the behaviour is the same; no hotkey being sent to server. (The hotkey fix version 5522 rc1 is running on both PC and mac)
Paul Suarez Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Hi @huubhuub. We'd like to help you on this, however it is not an official build from us. Can you try v1.9.0 instead? You can get it from Download Synergy 1.9.0 to fix the wifi macOS bug forum thread.
huubhuub Posted May 26, 2017 Author Posted May 26, 2017 Thanks, I am on the road right now and can not connect other computers. Without other computers and having synergy run as server my macbook still does not listen to hotkeys using 1.9 Huub
huubhuub Posted May 28, 2017 Author Posted May 28, 2017 In fact, using 1.9, hotkeys do not work at all, as they did not on 1.8 Only the unofficial hothey fix works, but only for clients, not for the server.
huubhuub Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 Is this a known issue and is there a possible workaround? Huub
Paul Suarez Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Hi @huubhuub. Yes this is a known issue. Our developers are still working on it. We can't use the same nightly you have used since it removes something that might be causing some issues but that also removes some fixes for other issues. Please bear with us as we try to make Synergy better for everyone.
huubhuub Posted September 6, 2017 Author Posted September 6, 2017 Hi, Is there any improvement on this matter? Thanks, Huub
Synergy Team Nick Bolton Posted September 13, 2017 Synergy Team Posted September 13, 2017 Hello, Please could you email us? support@symless.com I posted something earlier about forum support... https://symless.com/forums/topic/3756-were-improving-our-tech-support/ Thanks, Nick
huubhuub Posted September 13, 2017 Author Posted September 13, 2017 Sure, thanks. This is also something that someone might have found a workaround for. Thus the forum bump. Huub
