MacHater Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Hi there. My mac Synergyserver stopped running - it simply would not recognize the configuration file anymore, although it had been running without problems for more than a month. I decided to delete Synergy and reinstall it, but alas - one can simply not reinstall it. When i run the .dmg the icon behaves strangely, and is difficult to "hit". A long press does the trick, and after the Synergy icon is highlighted i can dubble click to install. It hangs a bit - and then crashes. What can i do? I tried cleaning up all synergy files from the terminal - didn't work. I also tried installing the previous version i had - the 1.8.7 version, but same story..
Augusto Santa Cruz Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Hi there, If you would like to remove Synergy from your Mac you can try these commands: rm -rf /Applications/Synergy.app and rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/com.http-synergy-foss-org.Synergy.plist Make sure you run those commands as root, if you are not sure just add sudo at the beginning of each line, like this: sudo rm -rf /Applications/Synergy.app Let us know the outcome
MacHater Posted April 25, 2017 Author Posted April 25, 2017 Ok i tried this. The installer icon no longer acts unresponsive - but installer still crashes. Would you like me to attach details from the crash?
Paul Suarez Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Hi there. Yes, please attach details for the crash. Thanks :-)
