Bill Torpey
I cant get copy/paste working at all with 1.7.5. It flakes out intermittently and the only way to get it working again is to restart both client and server. This is with OSX 10.11.3 server and CentOS 6.5 client. Also, the Linux client intermittently hangs -- I then have to ssh into the box, pkill and restart. Sadly, the quality of this software seems to be deteriorating over time. I'm getting so frustrated that I'm seriously considering switching to vnc. I will prob. downgrade to 1.6.3 as others have suggested and wait for this to stabilize, or just give it up altogether. Massimo Baggiani
Is not true that now working !!!! There are a lot of problems with versions 1.7.4 and 17.5, often falls during the copy/paste, and you need to restart the server, sometimes the client. I think I'll also downgrade to 1.6.3 or change my product. bye

Tom Barron
Just logging that I just installed 1.7.5 on two Fedora 23 boxes with stock gnome desktop. Copy-paste works from server to client but not vice-versa. Downgraded to 1.6.3 and it works in both directions. I'll stay at 1.6.3 until I hear that this issue is resolved. Also, the gui setup seemed broken, or at least confusing, so it was much more straightforward just to web search for how to set up the config files and run the cli on server and client instead. Bill Torpey
I've downgraded to 1.6.3 also, and while copy/paste is intermittently foobar, at least the client doesn't hang and have to be restarted. Of course I still have to stop and restart the server after coming out of sleep, or the mouse cursor on the client goes nuts, but I'm used to that at this point. Ryan1491393327
I've been using synergy since the early 2000s. It worked better in 2003 than it does now. All this superfluous crap doesn't do me a damn bit of good if I need to constantly restart the client or server because I try and copy an odd bit of text. 1.7.5 and the beta 1.7.6 are equally flaky with 1.7.6 having more issues related to crashes not cleaning up correctly and subsequent bind/port contention caused by multiple processes... The 1.6 versions seem a fair bit more stable...which brings me to: You're killing synergy. Stop it. Fucking stop. Do you need testers? Do you need information? Do you need help? I'm using a combination of Windows and Linux machines and I'm happy to contribute data or testing...but you already know what the problem is...if the clipboard contents has metadata it crashes the server. Help us help you stop sucking.
Jani Wunsch
Working you say... B$ I say This crap happens on my Ubuntu 12 LTS and Ubuntu 14 LTS (as server) and Windows 7 as client. I am trying to copy line of text from notepad++ on Windows machine to Ubuntu server's IDEAJ... I finally decided to pay that 10$ to support this project. I upgraded from some 1.4..10 to 1.7 .. and I feel this is just scam/rip-off .. gief my money back case.. I did not bother to yet again find the old 1.3 / 1.4 binaries and decided to pay.. then you give me shovel full of shit. I have no idea wtf is problem. If I reboot both machines I get this shit to work for a while and then it breaks for no apparent reason and will not get working by server/client restart, I need to reboot the server.
