1. Under the same Keyboard and Mouse section if you click on Hotkey configuration you can set a hotkey to Lock to screen. I haven't actually used that but I see that its available.

 3. Hi Tim, Thank you for contacting Synergy Support, I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with Synergy 3 on your set up. It appears that the Remote Desktop is keeping hold of the keyboard instead of the keyboard transitioning with the mouse cursor as expected, luckily there is an easy fix for this, could you navigate to the 'Miscellaneous' section in Synergy 3 and disable the option Take foreground window which should resolve this issue. Hope that helps and please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with? Thanks,FerasSynergy Support

 5. This was my problem, too. After much frustration, followed previous poster's advice: went to Task Manager Services and started the Synergy service, which was stopped, for some reason. Problem solved!

 6. ah HAH! I found it. "ipc connection error, connection refused" has started occurring for me when the Synergy service is stopped. Note that Windows has processes and services. Once Synergy is installed, a Synergy service is always running, regardless of whether or not you are currently using Synergy. - In the Task Manager, go to Services - Find the Synergy service - Right click, and select Start I am not sure why this service stopped, but hopefully starting it will immediately restore functionality. Let me know if this work
