1. A message to the developers: I saw in your issues page where the lack complaints from licensed users (as opposed to Github users) makes this look like a low priority issue to you. As a licensed user, and as a software developer, I say that's like knowing your toilet is plugged but not grabbing the plunger and doing something about it until your 4 year old poops and floods it out. A bit vivid, I know, but I need the point to be clear. You know Wayland is the next target for GUI services. You should know Wayland is reasonably mature at this point. Is there still any good reason to keep dragging

 2. 1.14.2 has SUCKED for me. Modifier keys stopped working almost altogether β€” even the shift key has been a bit unpredictable β€” which of course has affected switching spaces. The clipboard on the client has also refused to copy even when driving things from the built-in keyboard & trackpad; I had to quit Synergy just to be able to copy and paste something. Symless, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, for the love of Pete, keep at least one or two previous minor versions available for download on the downloads page so that when bugs crop up in new versions (as they inevitably will), people have a quic

 3. Hi there! The issue you have described happens when you have a version mismatch of Synergy 1.14.2 and another version. Please update Synergy on all your computers to the same version and the issue will be resolved.

 4. not sure when wayland support is planned, but linux is moving pretty fast in that direction. Doesn't effect me at the moment, but I'm sure my next upgrade will see wayland on my computer either alone or alongside X. Either way X is clearly on its way out.

 5. Same here. Two MacBook Pro, Monterey 12.2.1. No way to bring up mission control or switch spaces on the client using default keystrokes. No other hack seems to work.

 6. 2022, this has yet to be resolved. Cursor speed on different resolution displays are different, this is very annoying.

 7. @Kimberly that worked for me thanks heaps! πŸ˜€ Minor suggestion, for future versions where there's the possibility of backwards compatibility issues, could the syergy server log the fact that the connecting client may have issues and should be upgraded? I spent a good hour thinking it was network connectivity issue given the log messages I was seeing in the debug1 level logs.

 8. Hi here! Visiting from the Wayland support for Linux client and server GitHub issue. Just want to voice in my request for this feature too so that Synergy can support most of the recent releases to the more modern Linux distros out there. Thanks so much!

 9. This is an open issue that we are currently working on a fix for. We are not able to provide a timeframe but it is actively being worked on.

 10. On the server config page, check "Use existing configuration" instead of "Configure interactively". You will then need to create a configuration file, which, if I recall correctly, Synergy will give an *.sgc extension. Feel free to use mine as a starting point, see below. For reference, my screens are arranged as: Fractal Dell_laptop surface-pro-3 Hope that helps. section: screens Fractal: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none +bottom-

 11. Hi, I am running Synergy on a Linux server with a Windows 10 client connected. Server and client have the same keyboard layout selected (swiss-german). Entering the client screen results in this warning: WARNING: LANGUAGE_DEBUG Poll result 0 Entering any character on the client results in this warning: WARNING: ISO 639-2 code "gsw" is missed in table Obviously, the keyboard language cannot be detected or is not supported. I could workaround the "altgr"-issue more or less, but the way bigger problem is, that a lot of normal key-bindings (shift+ combinations) are n

 12. I FIGURED THIS OUT! At least partially. This happens on one of my clients 100% of the time when holding down a keyboard key, including backspace/delete, arrow keys, etc. This is 100% repeatable for one of my systems, though I have no idea why it's not repeatable on my second client. But at least I now have the trigger. Can someone else who is experiencing this issue please confirm on your own system if it's the same?

 14. Thanks Eli πŸ˜€ It's quite normal for Macs to use Displayport, however, I believe they function better through Thunderbolt 3/4. Also Sudha, let me know if you need help with the international keyboard setup. Happy to help if you still need itπŸ˜€

 15. Hello You are missing an option from the menu to set it to auto-start the server. Unless you mean the option to use auto-config to do so. this is poorly explained and written in the app. Please advise how to auto-start the server on macOS Catalina and BigSur.

 16. For me, randomly (every couple of hours) the mouse will jump from what I'm doing on my work laptop or Plex server (both clients), and focus is suddenly on my server. There is no rhyme nor reason. It's completely random.

 17. It generally seems to be better for me now - Synergy 1.14.3-stable on Monterey 12.2.1(Intel Mac). Occassionally I seem to have a synching fit, and everything freezes for a moment, but then comes back. My "server" and client are on the same lan segment (same ethernet switch), so it is not a network issue.

 18. Using 1.14.2, just typing normally on a macOS client will produce the "Failed to determine current keyboard layout" error on a Windows 10 server.

 19. I have multiple monitors on my server. My monitor layout looks like this, where "A" is my server, and "B" and "C" are my clients: [B1] [C1] [A1] [A2] [A3] How can I configure Synergy so that my mouse can move upward from A2 into B1? Right now, I have to go all the way left to A1, then up into B1. I remember asking about this years ago, and was told the feature was coming. I'm running 1.14-2, and I still can't make it work.

 20. I'm not entirely sure why I need to post this, when it's clear that many major distributions have *already* switched to wayland as a default. But here we are: Synergy in its current form can no longer perform its basic function on wayland-based linux computers. This is one of the things I would expect of it. I switched to barrier a few years ago (which also does not work, currently) because I was not happy with the progress of synergy at the time. I would happily switch back to synergy. In case this matters at all, I'm a "Premium User" from ~2013 (and my use of synergy predates symless, m

 21. Me too! It's been a long four years, let me tell you. Development has been on and off due to several painful bumps in the road, but we got there and Synergy 3 Alpha 1 has finally launched! πŸš€ Make sure you register as an alpha tester if you want to try it. Looking forward to your candid feedback πŸ˜ƒ

 22. Hi there, Synergy currently supports sharing the mouse and keyboard but does not support monitor input switching. You will need to implement an independent method to switch your monitors.

 23. So GitHub is now a rowdy crowd not worth of acknowledging ? I was under the impression that there's where development usually happens. Anyway. Asked in the past over twitter. Asked on GitHub. Asking here if this is how it needs to be. Wayland support should be a priority. I don't want to switch between sessions depending on whether I want an accelerated browser or a docked laptop experience next to my desktop. Licensed user since 2015. Call it a major release and ask for upgrade money for all I care just don't hide behind "nobody needs it".

 24. Are you kidding me. Fine. Asking for Wayland support, preferably years ago. This is embarrasing.

 25. Just following up on this (almost a year later). Has this been implemented?

 26. Yeah I've had synergy 1 and 2 licences for ages. I just use barrier now as synergy has no benefit over barrier. Even then, I've generally stopped using it all together as I've moved over to arch and wayland on my laptop and desktop. If either got Wayland working it would be game changer. Even better if it's the one I actually paid money for....

 27. I have synergy server (v 1.14.2-stable0c6918b74) running on MacOS 11.3.1, and client running MacOS 11.6 (also running synergy 1.14.2-stable0c6918b74). I can't bring up mission control or switch spaces on the client using Ctrl-up-arrow or Ctrl-right-arrow . Is there a solution for this besides remapping hotkeys on the client? I love synergy, but this feature is important. Can someone help?

 28. Unfortunately, while 1.14.2 solved the original issue of the Shift key not working inside of a Microsoft Remote Desktop Session, the problem with the f-keys is a known issue in this version. It seems to be related to a change we've made in one of the macOS APIs we use. That change was made essentially because the old API is currently deprecated by Apple. We are currently looking for a solution and hopefully this will be fixed in the next release of Synergy 1.

 29. Hi @Malaguti, Our internal tests seem to indicate that everything should be working as expected on Windows 11 and macOS Monterey, even though Synergy is not yet "officially" supported on those Operating Systems. Would you mind contacting support directly? They might be able to assist you in solving this issue. There are a few different options, as detailed here: https://forums.symless.com/topic/6227-read-first-need-help-with-synergy/ Thanks, Francisco

 30. @MrTechineer You just gave me an idea, I'll try to turn off the hibernation in windows (since I noticed immediately after suspend/wake up the clients reconnect, but after prolonged suspend/wake up the clients don't reconnect)... could be the hibernation doing something weird to the synergy service. I'll report what happens tomorrow morning

 33. Hello, I was just wondering if y'all have any plans to add Android compatibility to Synergy? I have an android tablet, and also now with the introduction of Samsung DeX would like to use that with my phone as well. If you created an Android app and charged for the app individually, I'm sure you'd get a lot of hits.

 35. I also have this issue. Copy/Paste of files between computers doesn't work. From searching around it looks like this has been an issue since at least 2017 - @symless are you even trying to fix this? If I can't transfer files easily via copy/paste with synergy it's kinda pointless.

 37. Hi, guys. I'm using Synergy (version: 1.11.1-stable-55ec3105) with multiple languages which are English and Korean. When the server is set the language with English, I can input all the languages on client. However, when the server is set the language with Korean, I 'cannot' input all the languages on client. I found out that this issue has been discussed for a few years but I cannot find any clear solution. Is there anyone who knows the solution? Thanks in advance. BR, BennyLim.

Once I move cursor to a client then I press "alt+shift" to change language between Thai<>English, the system in a client shown the language had changed already but when I type the language it's automatically change back to be same language that the Server used. Scenario-1: I used English in a Server then move cursor to a client, press "alt+shift" on a client to change to Thai everything looking good but when I type it's has back to Engli

 40. Hi Symless, Clever product but a long way to go to make this a seamless product (yes, intended pun) : Provide an option to auto-start when booting the server and client. Use auto-config as the default option When an incoming client request is received by a server, put the name of the client in window of "denied" clients (the log indicates which clients are being denied) Allow user to drag "denied" client into the "permitted" window. Your software is case-sensitive which means the user manually putting in the client name can cause numerous issues. On MacOS,

 42. Happy "owner" of Synergy Pro since 2018 - use it everywhere - at work (across Windows and Linux desktop) and at home (across Linux on Intel/AMD/ARM) and really happy with it, and worth every cent... Samsung killed off Linux on DeX (thanks Samsung!) - but I recently cross-graded from a Nokia 4.2 to an e-bay Galaxy S9+, and DeX even without Linux is great - in DeX on a 27" monitor, I can Citrix or RDP to customer sites, run SSH terminal sessions in Termux, but now I need two mice and two keyboards on my desk. Tried DeskShare, but gave up trying to get the server feature working in Linux

 45. Add the ability to share audio hardware as we do with peripherals like keyboard and mouse. I am aware of other projects/API available like PulseAudio (https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/PulseAudio/), Jack (http://jackaudio.org/) that can do audio routing through network but limited in several aspects (not user-friendly mainly). The ease of configuring synergy inspires me to have such a thing for audio hardware too.

 46. The idea is very simple, I have two computers and prefer to use one monitor. The monitor has two HDMI inputs and surprisingly responds to VCP Control codes, but it only listens to the active HDMI input. Normally, I'd have AutoHotkey running the same "switch inputs" script (found here) on both PCs, but I'd have to take a blind guess that the PC I am switching to is behaving and that it has correct focus. This made me absolutely excited to see if you, the developers, would implement such a feature. My suggestion is to have some kind of preference where a computer can either: Run a comma

 49. It takes a little work, but it is possible to use Synergy over VPN without split-tunneling. Here is what I did. 1) Register yourself a free (or paid if you don't want 30-day nags) dynamic DNS address (DDNS) from a place like dynDNS or no-ip 2) Register for the Pro version of Synergy to get that sweet, sweet SSL security. You're going to be opening some pin holes, so best to keep the connection secure while in transit 3) Select a non-default port for Synergy to use - again security precaution From you home network router: 4) Create a DHCP reservation or assign a static IP for your s

 50. I'm trying to see if there is a way to make my Synergy server laptop (MAC Book Pro), on my Home network, connect to my company PC also on the same network except, the Cisco client VPN is connected to my Company. It seem my company do not permit to enable 2 network connection, VPN use the wireless one but disable the physical connection, so I can't enable it. Can we use the Synergy with Bluetooth, USB or other way? What will be the performance if I try to do it through the internet? Thanks in advance for your support. Jean-Pierre Masse QC
