Ok, I just updated both to 2.0.12-beta, everything still works great!

Sorry to laugh...it's just that so many of us have "been there - done that." You are right, It would have saved a lot of person-hours!

A week ago we made the decision to redeclare Synergy 2 as beta as over 80% of the users we surveyed agreed that it wasn't yet ready to be declared stable. If you're using Synergy 2 Beta and are having problems, please download and try Synergy 1 instead, which is the most stable version of Synergy. All users can now download Synergy 1, so you won't need to request access. If you're interested in testing beta software, that's awesome! For those who have access to Synergy 2 Beta, please feel free to continue using it while we fix bugs and make enhancements over the next 12-18 months.

Just purchased version 2 as a part of the sale and found this out too. This is an absolute deal breaker as I use Synergy in an environment with no internet access. I hope that they can bring back such a vital feature to version 2 (as well as hotkeys). Until then I'll be using v1 (Funny they call it legacy, its much more capable...)

I just spent hours... LITERAL HOURS... Trying to figure out why my other two systems worked, but one did not. I could see all three live and connected. Communication was fine network-wise. Systems 2 and 3 could have the input devices take over and all 3 would refresh and show the dot in the correct place and have the ability to traverse screens as normal. Screen 1 would just not do it. Then I upgraded from .09stable to .12beta (against my policy) but that did not fix the issue. So I open the log window on system 1 and I see some communication errors. I check the firewall settings.
