I had a similar issue with a single Win 10 computer and a Macbook. The Macbook showed green after installing and launching, but the Windows computer was grey. There were some errors in the console (launch by pressing "~"). I tried multiple uninstall/reinstalls with no success. What worked for me was uninstalling and then deleting the registry entries on my Windows machine: Uninstall Synergy Press windows key and search "run", type "regedit" to launch Look for HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Symless (or Synergy) and right click to delete. A little of both; it was low hanging fruit and there were a significant number of users asking for it. Also, now that auto-config is working better, fewer people are asking for a settings screen. We will still add one, however, for things like key swapping, etc.
