  1. As I am sure many Synergy users are aware (because we're all multitaskers) multi-screen support is nonexistent in synergy. If I have 3 screens on my main PC, I should be able to reach my secondary or other PC either from ANY screen or from a specific screen. (In my scenario, my secondary is directly underneath my right screen. And I can only access the second PC from the leftmost screen. WHYYY??? the left screen isn't even set as my default monitor. If I unplug the left monitor, then I have 2 screens, and I still can only access the other PC from the left (center) screen. I (and im s

  2. It's OK, That's the way I'm set up too. So, if Synergy is still not linking your machines together, then my next step would be to do a thorough uninstall and reinstall. https://symless.com/forums/topic/4519-synergy-2-how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall/

  3. The next step in DIY troubleshooting is to restart the Synergy service on each. If no change, try this quick-fix, move one of the screens on the Synergy UI away from the other, as they don't touch. That triggers what you are already seeing, both screens showing the connecting animation. Then reassemble the screens as you desire. That restarts the Synergy core on each. If no change, re-boot both.

  4. Just to clarify, on the Synergy UI, one of the computers shows OK green, and the other persists in showing the 'connecting' animation, right? Is Synergy otherwise working OK? Can you mouse over to the other computer? I'm asking because sometimes the connecting animation persists but otherwise Synergy is working.

  5. No problem, you seem like a nice guy, so I prioritized your ticket for you. You should get a response within 4 hours.

  6. Thanks for such a quick response Nick. Have just sent logs and support request with info using form. Thanks. Can't wait to get back up and running! Cheers man link for log... https://synergy-logs.symless.com/4801305cfb307d18f096f7aa151106a6/logs/33068-2018-04-16T14-52-23.log

  7. I'm happy to know this workaround helped you. If you're really annoyed, you should consider contacting the symless support : https://symless.com/contact/customer-support They may help you troubleshoot the issue or get enough information to solve it in future release.

  9. Hey. I know I already do not have to toggle back and forth between keyboards and mouseses any more, but can you support my goal of getting carpel tunnel AND diabetes by introducing a feature that allows me to set a key combo to immediately go from one machine to another? In Photoshop I can assign keys to certain macros so that they... well you know what macros are and do. I want to be on machine 1 and need to get to machine 3 (or 7) so I hit ctrl-alt-3 (or 7) and I get whisked away to the magical land of machine 3... (or 7). Each user may have different programs open on differen

  10. CLOSE SYNERGY AND DELETE YOUR USER PROFILE FROM THE REGISTRY HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Symless\Synergy (I.e. the one without version number) Then try again. #ThatIsAll

  11. I keep trying Synergy2, and it keeps disappointing me. It never detects other machines, even on a local, wired network with only the 2 computers I'm trying to connect on it. There continues to be zero process feedback of any sort in the application window. There are still no options anywhere other than "enable" and "disable", which do nothing at all that I can tell. I'm not an expert or anything, but it seems like you should probably wait to hide all the configuration options in favor of automagical configuration until the thing actually does something other than show a completely useless

  12. I am wondering how adding Raspberry Pi support to Synergy 2.0 was higher priority than an actual settings menu, hotkeys or any other useful feature. Was it an extremely simple addition, or is there a large group of people using Synergy on Raspberry Pi's that outweigh the majority of the user base.

  13. OH: almost forgot to mention my single fave thing about 2.x!! When one computer is locked and the other is not, the mouse won't get "stuck" on the unlocked machine, like before!!!

  14. I've encountered another flaw that could be improved upon. When monitors are setup in this orientation: and setup with synergy with this orientation The only way to access the computer "Matt-X" is to drag your mouse over to display #2 and go directly up. Display "Matt-X" can not be accessed from screen 1 at all, which is what I would like.

  15. Hi Nick, I work in the software industry and know that support can be overwhelming so I was looking for a hopefully faster response from the community. In the mean time, waiting patiently Thanks! -Joel

  16. Can you share the log (or part of it) with the community ? Could be nice to have traces of the solution if support provides you with a solution we can all use when time has come.

  17. Indeed, you are right, that is why : Is also part of software development. When you come here crying "This software is shitty, its developpers are shitty, it was better before", you're just out of a normal software development scheme. Have you ever tried to communicate with synergy teams in order to solve your issue ? Or are you just circling in an infinite loop of : I install I test I don't think or interact with developpers It doesn't work I whine I uninstall I wait the next release I start over My first synergy 2 instal

  21. I couldn't agree more! Every time I see there is a new v2 release I try it and every time it ends with disappointment. Last one was yesterday, I made a clean install (as described in this very forums and yes I even rebooted my computers) of v2.09 and even though this time I managed to see my computers on Synergy main screen (and that's all you can do there, just look at it) mouse or keyboard didn't work. Installed v1 back immediately. I think paying for v2 was one of my most disappointing purchases ever. And yes, it says it's "stable". Like a joke.

  23. Improved multi-monitor support is my hope for synergy. If there was a way to include monitor windows(with their appropriate resolutions) into the computer sharing window it would solve all of my problems. When you have several desktops/laptops connected where some have additional monitors, it gets pretty clunky trying to traverse them all. For instance: Synergy groups monitor 1 and monitor 2 as the same monitor in the computer sharing window making a computer that I have directly underneath monitor 2 always accessible from monitor 1 no mater how I position it underneath. This is a pro

  24. First, thanks for developing Synergy. It has been very useful to me and I appreciate the low cost and one-time payment. That being said, I'm also having some multi-monitor issues. I have 4 monitors on my main PC and would like to restrict the passage to the second PC to just through the bottom of one of those monitors. Instead, the synergy UI only shows one monitor for the main PC. The cursor is lost when I go off the bottom of any of the main PC's monitors. I remember having control like this in a previous version of Synergy... I might have to find a way to get back to that,

  25. I'm not sure what you are looking for. This is the multiscreen configuration I'm usually using, though sometimes I try something else for a little adventure. The only thing Synergy needs is for some sides to touch. My 'main' computer, the one I typing on right now, is Petersen. It is a Linux, Kubuntu 17.10 box. The server is the one adjacent to the left, Jangalang. It is a Win10 desktop set up with a lighted gaming keyboard. Above left is a laptop, Win10 while upper right is Joiner-P0C. It's an old Win 7 (32 bit). The Linux, Petersen, is a dual monitor with a larger main screen and smalle
