  1. CLOSE SYNERGY AND DELETE YOUR USER PROFILE FROM THE REGISTRY HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Symless\Synergy (I.e. the one without version number) Then try again. #ThatIsAll

  2. I keep trying Synergy2, and it keeps disappointing me. It never detects other machines, even on a local, wired network with only the 2 computers I'm trying to connect on it. There continues to be zero process feedback of any sort in the application window. There are still no options anywhere other than "enable" and "disable", which do nothing at all that I can tell. I'm not an expert or anything, but it seems like you should probably wait to hide all the configuration options in favor of automagical configuration until the thing actually does something other than show a completely useless

  3. Ok, so I have an old Macbook (late 2009) running High Sierra 10.13.2 and using the keyboard/mouse from a Windows 10 box (x64). 2.0.8 worked VERY poorly. Almost never would start up successfully on the Mac, had to stop and restart the process almost every time after rebooting. Also a big lag moving mouse from Win10 to macbook. Updated High Sierra to 10.13.4 and Synergy to 2.0.9 (on both machines) and now Synergy starts flawlessly on the Macbook and the lag is Gone! I'm not convinced that it is the High Sierra patch that fixed it, I firmly believe it was 2.0.9. Yay! In other news, has

  4. I've for a long time had severe mouse lag issues from Mac -> Mac. It seems I still have them on 2.09. I also previously had lag issues going Mac -> Windows, though with this release, I am seeing much better performance. Looking forward to the update that makes my Mac -> Mac setup work.

  5. Joy has been achieved! Splitting up the screens, waiting a minute, reassembling them and restarting the service on the rogue machine solved my problem! Thank you very much GranPaSmurf!

  6. Same, upgrade to 2.0.9 went smoothly, nice work and thanks!

  7. What I see is this is a "Synergy General Discussion" forum! It doesn't even says help forum! Even if it's a Synergy2 help forum, I'm complaining about Synergy2 and how I'm not able to use it. Why do you think I went back to v1?? And lastly, why are you being rude?

  8. I couldn't agree more! Every time I see there is a new v2 release I try it and every time it ends with disappointment. Last one was yesterday, I made a clean install (as described in this very forums and yes I even rebooted my computers) of v2.09 and even though this time I managed to see my computers on Synergy main screen (and that's all you can do there, just look at it) mouse or keyboard didn't work. Installed v1 back immediately. I think paying for v2 was one of my most disappointing purchases ever. And yes, it says it's "stable". Like a joke.

  9. Fixed! https://symless.com/synergy/roadmap Synergy 1.9 is on GitHub... https://github.com/symless/synergy-core/commits/v1.9 It's been on our todo list for a while. Sorry for the delay, thanks for your patience.

  10. Glad it worked out, in case anyone was wondering and is new to Raspberry Pi , the synergy application file sits in '/usr/share/applications', you can launch it from there.

  12. Awesome! While in-place upgrades are great, it might be beneficial to recommend the aforementioned to users who are looking to go to 2.X. Another thing I noticed: There are no direct links to these forums from the main symless.com page. Found these forums after Googling one of the initial errors from the logs. Is this by design?

  13. UPDATE! I followed the uninstall directions, cleared out the stale folders and reg keys. All is good now!

  15. Unfortunately, close but no cigar. I´ve tried several times since ver. 2.0 was launched and my two Mac computers, both on the same wired network, same configuration, seeing each other with ping, working flawlessly with Synergy 1.9.1, refuse to connect. I´ve installed the "server" and it remains stuck at the "second step: install synergy on another computer". I do so, but the other computer just shows a dark screen icon and nothing happens. And to add insult to injury, the "minimalist" design does not allow you to see what´s going on, aside of the sending logs feature. For the time being, I wil

  16. Can you point out specifically what post has the solution or how can I resolve those problems (except restart Mac every time)? Yes, I have searched and not found a helpful thread. As a paid user, I tried more than hard to make this work, but still, I'm only a user, so I can't make bugs disappear even I spent much time to search this forum, I created a new support ticket last Friday and still not get a reply, also I posted this thread and got no solution. In the Synergy2 website, it says"simply set and forget, install and you're good to go", also "It simply works in seconds,

  17. I'm sorry this excuse is simply not good enough. I've been a relatively long term customer of Synergy, then Synergy Pro and now Synergy Pro 2. To quote from the sales email: My experience has been anything but seamless. Who's bright idea was it to make Synergy 2 Pro (not sure what I'm getting for my 'Pro' by the way) run as a background service without not only configurability but an inability to disable the service without a trip to the relevant services menu on PC, Mac or Linux. And here you are trumpeting - But the very people you're targeting with that messaging are th
