I'm using Synergy to share mouse/keyboard between a windows 10 and mac Sierra, with windows as the server. This works fine when both computers are logged in, but when the mac goes to screen-saver or logs out the user, I can no longer control the mouse/keyboard on the mac. Is there some way to make this work even when the mac is asleep, in screen-saver, or logged out?

It is almost like Synergy 2 is the 'Home' product and Synergy 1 was the 'Professional' product. Then again, Synergy 1 was a code base with a lot of blood sweat and tears in it and Synergy 2 is just getting going. So, maybe it'll just take time before we're at feature parity for some of the stuff we were used to having?

+1 I also use a Windows 10 PC and Mac running Sierra at work. PC for day-to-day duties and the Mac primarily for app development. Being able to use Synergy at the login would allow me to remove the extra keyboard and mouse clutter on my desk that's solely there for logging into the Mac.

The best way to use synergy with gaming is to lock the keyboard and mouse to the gaming machine by pressing the scroll lock key while the cursor is on the gaming machine. You can then unlock it when you want to move to the streaming machine again by pressing scroll lock. This will solve your problem with Fortnite. In COD you will probably have to put the game in a menu of some sort to release the cursor and move to the streaming machine. In both of these scenarios the game will probably minimize but synergy can't help with that. Most full screen games minimize when they loose focus.

God this is frustrating! Please release a working product or don't release anything!

I got the same issue with Windows 7 & mac .

I got the same issue with Windows 7. Windows 8 and Mac seem to run fine. But Windows 7 cannot connect to the confgi-service...

Enterpise Architect - I cannot use or r4ecommend a product like this if it is dependent on the availbility of "Cloud Services". Clouds are not 100% reliable - anybody who thinks so is fooling themselves. An organisation cannot suddenly have its keyboards disabled because a cloud service isn't working correctly. Without the documentation indicating how this service works how can it be trusted. Does it only require the clouf service during the initial configuration? Does it require the cloud service to eb=nable connections? Does require the cloudservice to be active

We're working on this for 2.1, should be pretty trivial since it's already a feature in the core.

maybe but I don't wanna do that, because when I'm using my mac (laptop) as a standalone, I simply want to use it in a standard way with its own keyboard configured normally,

would be great. It's annoying between linux and mac for copy and paste to have to do Ctrl+c then Window+v

Wayland support is coming to 2.1 (due Q1 next year). It's now our highest priority.
