  1. It'd be really handy to see what's been updated between 2.0, 2.0.1 and 2.0.2

  2. Not sure if this helps, but when I had problems getting the "Configuration Service" to run on Win7, it was due to missing the Universal CRT. It doesn't give you a very helpful error, but looking into manually starting the background service, I got the error "The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing". Googling this error, I discovered that not all Win-7 32-bit or 64-bit systems have the new Microsoft Universal CRT required to support Win10. You can manually install this update by searching Microsoft Support for "KB2999226" or "Visual C++ Redistributable for

  7. It's an issue with the self-signed SSL certificate. Self-Signed certificates are not trusted by default. I believe Nick will need to install the the self-signed cert as a trusted server. Self-Signed certificates are vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks. heidi@imladras$ openssl s_client -connect pubsub1.cloud.symless.com:443 CONNECTED(00000003) depth=0 CN = 165.227.29.181 verify error:num=18:self signed certificate verify return:1 depth=0 CN = 165.227.29.181 verify return:1 --- Certificate chain 0 s:/CN=165.227.29.181 i:/CN=165.227.29.181 --- Server certificate -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE

  8. Don't worry, we're doing 4 things: Adding redundancy to our cloud infrastructure (we'll shoot for 99.99% uptime; 1h a year) Moving all non-essential things away from the cloud (auto-switching, config updates, etc) Make it still completely usable if the cloud goes offline (apart from the initial setup for when in online mode) Adding a full offline mode for people who can't use the internet (e.g. oil rigs, military bases, etc)

  9. In response to KringleKrebs: I own a software shop myself so I'm not making any assumptions about my experience being typical or atypical. I don't need to assume, the evidence is a Google search away (in addition to this forum). I have invested a significant number of hours trying to get Synergy -- which again, I've used for over half a decade quite happily -- to work. I've tried multiple OS's and configurations. I thought downgrading to 1.8 was a temp solution but that craps out routinely as well. I'm a big fan of what Nick and his team have created but I'm like ashleyg9 I'm not at all s

  11. I bought a license today and started using Synergy for the first time. I have been struggling to get this working. The Linux version seems to be working properly (configured as server), but the Mac version, which I want to configure as client, does not seem to be working. First I was getting the messages about cloud connection errors. Now that seems to be resolved, but the configuration is stuck at the following step: "Next step: install Synergy 2 on another computer" This I have already done, but it seems to make no difference. I'm wondering if I'm missing something about the configuration, b

  12. So, looks like the server is overwhelmed...one more reason to not require an external server at all to communicate between two computers. Between Couldn't connect to Synergy Cloud , 504 Gateway timeout, and Oops there was a problem, there is zero love for me... I kind of was hoping to use Synergy as a productivity booster, but if I end up fiddling with it more than working, what is the point. Logitech Flow starts looking better by the minute...

  13. Running 1.8.8 stable on both machines, as well as both machines being on a wired gigabit network. When using Webex and presenting there are constant hangs on the client machine. Full hangs, (can't move the mouse even with the client's own mouse) for a second or two every minute or so. Anyone experiencing similar problems? No SSL Clipboard sharing disabled Computers are Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Wired Gigabit ethernet

  14. Hi, in case it helps. (I have been troubleshooting this for 1 hour... tried reinstalling and even using the 1.9 beta with no success). the only thing that helped me was changing the Synergy process priorities to "high", in my case I have 3 processes Synergy, synergyd and synergys, one of them was at "realtime" and the others with normal priority.. after setting all of them in "high" the webex issue disappeared.

  17. Same issue for me - I thought it was WebEx that was the problem, but digging into it, I disabled Synergy and ran a WebEx without issues. Server: Windows 10 Pro x64 - 1.8.8 Client: Windows 10 Enterprise x64 - 1.8.8 Enable/Disable SSL does not change the behavior - the client is hard locking every few moments on WebEx. As others have noted, no other issue if WebEx is not running, but once it does, the client locks/freezes for a few moments every 30 seconds or so.

  18. Experiencing these same issues. Windows 8.1 x64 Server - Synergy 1.8.8 Windows 10 x64 Client - Synergy 1.8.8 I am running Webex on the client machine. Many hangs. Synergy reports the client is dead during these hangs. Client will recover and reconnect, but Webex definitely seems to be causing some issue.

  19. It's sad, really. I went back to 1.8.x because 2.0.2 really has nothing I need or want. I only bought it to support the effort. There's no other way to put it... it's garbage. I'll try back in a few months.
