  3. @danalec Please don't make a new topic to update a previous topic. I have merged it in order to make the forums cleaner.

  4. It is a major priority, and Symless is working very hard to remove that dependency. Unfortunately, the fruits of their labor will not be experienced for a while.

  5. Synergy 2.1 will roll out as a beta in January and a final in later months from January. That will include an offline activation and connection service. v2.0 was made primarily to address auto-configuration. If your internet is down, establishing a new connection will not work, but your connection is still local, making the lack of an internet connection a non-factor. All the cloud is doing is bridging the two computers by sharing IP info. After that, the connection is purely local and no longer dependent on the cloud. 6. Chill the fart out everyone. If S2 doesn't work for you (like myself and a lot of people) and you don't have the time or patience to wait for the fixes, you can always go back to 1.8 which is very stable (for me at least). There are also alternative software like sharemouse (sorry no linux) which I use right now while waiting for S2 (truly stable, lol).

  7. Signed into the forums to second this. I don't mean to be rude, but I will withdraw my support for Synergy if it requires cloud connectivity. There is absolutely no reason the application should fail without an internet connection. I need a KVM solution, not a self-aware settings-in-the-cloud-storing ostentatious replacement.

  8. If you read the other posts you will see lots of people are having trouble with the web service this morning. Hopefully the synergy guys are going to around to fix it soon.

  10. this is a problem more linux people seem to have, if I dont have this problem on this pkgbuild. did you reboot your system(just checking) I havnt found alternatives for all the deb-helper commands for arch(inside the pkgbuild, or .install) so it might not restart the service properly. and check this post(same problem) @danalec the servers are a bit slow, aperantly the link wasnt inserted
