This is probably the most popular feature request right now, so it will definitely make its way into 2.1... at the very least, to stop people from asking us for it!3 points

Working on a windows version Here's a mac script - save it as UninstallSynergy2.sh, and open terminal - chmod 755 it, ( use at your own risk ) and run "sudo .\UninstallSynergy2.sh"2 points

Hi all, Since the official road map seems to contain all of the nice things we want from a keyboard/mouse sharing app I thought I would something a little different. Firstly I know that there are many screen sharing apps out there I just thought having a single packaged app would be awesome. I would LOVE to have the ability in synergy to move my mouse onto a PC that has no monitor and the have that screen show on a server/client monitor, obviously in a window(maximized) of some sort. Sometimes our desks are just too small for all the monitors we need. Feel free to disagree1 point

I've had this issue with last four releases (now running RC2). The Mac GUI launches fine the first time but after that it will not relaunch. Keyboard and mouse sharing works fine it is just the GUI which isn't visible. Are others seeing the same or is it something peculiar to my setup?1 point

With the new synergy version I just downloaded (synergy_2.0.0.stable-b1026+060bdcb0_amd64.deb), I got the two machines working. I didn't do a full test, but I can share the keyboard&mouse. Thanks for your work!!1 point

@Nick Bolton, I'm going to be frank with you. In my eyes, this is way too complex for the majority of Synergy users to grasp. I haven't installed Synergy 2.0 on Windows yet, but I'm under the assumption that you guys don't include an uninstallation script, judging from how you made a guide about uninstalling Synergy. The average user, even one that uses Synergy (which is undoubtedly a tiny bit more savvy than the average user) should not be going in and making changes to the Windows registry. There's a reason Microsoft keeps that under relative secrecy and doesn't want everyone to know th1 point

Shouldn't be needed for Windows. The MSI system already takes care of uninstall, we simply need to improve it so it cleans up.1 point

@Nick Bolton and the Synergy team has locked the early release forums because by now, everyone should be on the final release. I believe the updater has forced all RC users off onto the final release. That's my mistake. That was posted when the Early Release forums were still open, and some changes were made to the post that I was not made aware of. I will get that squared away later. Thanks for notifying me of that, though, @Jo Rhett.1 point

You're absolutely right. We need to create a macOS uninstaller and make the Windows MSI tidy up after itself. I'll raise some issues now and get them into 2.1 (or maybe 2.0).1 point

I have been using Synergy 1 and 2 and would love to see this feature if possible. I think having the ability to update the remote PC when updating the host PC would be great. I hate trying to get them both installed and syncing again. Thanks, Dereck1 point

The newly updated edition comparison chart shows what is officially "coming soon". https://symless.com/synergy/pricing1 point

Ah, I see this made the (very long) "coming soon" list. https://symless.com/synergy/pricing1 point

Synergy runs as a service so you don't need the app open. If you don't want to see the tab just close the app. Stuart1 point

I assume they pushed through some of the 'features' to get some of the functionality bugs worked out. 2.1 is a work in progress I know.1 point

Holy crap, this is genius. Right now I have 2 speakers one for each machine. This would make my desk prettier.1 point

Hi All, Haven't read about anyone else with a similar issue yet. Has anyone experienced issues where their client PC looses the ability to click, only when the Synergy window on the server PC is not in the foreground? At first I though it was just a complete coincidence, but I've had this been going on since Beta 2 or 3. Just downloaded and installed the full stable release this morning and installed on both. When I close the Synergy window on the server PC, I can still move about the screen on the client PC with the cursor, and keyboard works fine. But no mouse clicks are register1 point

Just updated. That was more like a RC. Up and running within literally a minute.1 point

And now it works flawlessly. I was having issues with RC2 with not being able to log into the cloud services, I would click sign in and it would never talk back to the desktop application. With Stable 2.0.0-stable, I'm able to connect immediately and log into everything as expected!1 point

Windows 10 has new Track-pad gesture features that allow for easier multitasking. They include 4 finger swipe to change virtual desktops and 3 finger swipes to switch between applications. Currently, these features are not supported, as far as I know. I believe these features will definitely help Symless and I would also appreciate them in my current workflow.1 point

@Nick Bolton: I just stopped the programs, work day was over, I didn't mind. Thanks1 point

Local mode would be nice, I just upgraded to some useless v2 since it's unable to connect to some shitty cloud. downgrading again.1 point

I would love to do this with synergy but in the meantime I use Soundit from the google chrome store. It streams the audio to a port so you can listen to it through a browser. As soon as synergy has this feature I will use it though!1 point

Have you tried using SharpKeys or some equivalent of that? SharpKeys is a Windows program that rewrites the registry so that different keys control new functions. Remember that all Synergy does is passes the code that your keyboard sends to your computer onto the second system (in terms of keyboards). So, perhaps using SharpKeys (or a macOS equivalent if SharpKeys isn't available for the Mac) would help to alleviate your issue. Just remember that this affects when you're trying to use your Mac's keyboard as well. Best of luck!1 point
