Please note that the self-support forums are meant to be used for the final release. It will be easier to categorize that way. If you are still using a release candidate or a beta version (ex. Synergy 2 beta5), please refer to the Early Release forums in order to submit your question. For those users using the final release, use these self-support forums for support and feature ideas for any suggestions you may have. Please try and refrain from posting feature suggestions in self-support forums unless it pertains to an issue that you are having and are currently working on with anoth1 point

This problem seems to have been fixed with RC1 although, it may vary with the size of the image. Had not had a chance to test it. I have enough trouble getting to work (the the other thread I posted on)1 point

Fine. You all have been asking and begging for information on this. The man himself, @Nick Bolton, has raised his magic wand and declared that the Harry Potter world is now rea- Wait. That's not what he declared? Oh, that's right! He declared that all those who bought Synergy 1 when "Lifetime Access" instead of "Lifetime Access to Synergy 1" will receive a FREE upgrade. That's right, a FREE upgrade to Synergy 2! You're probably sitting there thinking - after all these months? Just out of nowhere? Free? There's gotta be a catch. And to those guys, you're right. Aye, I know, but since it is beta, I have kept it open to see any quirks in the console from it, should something not cooperate. Mostly clipboard issues were my largest situation. But occasionally when moving screens around it would disconnect and have to reconnect several times then it succeeded. Nothing major worth reporting.1 point

Hello, I bought Synergy 2 for 5$ about a month ago and I've always install of Synergy 1.8.8-3 that (fortunately) is in repositories. There will be a chance to add this new version (Synergy 2) to: download page and repositories? I don't want to install it through AUR repos since the packages are (commonly) outdated.1 point

Using synergy2, RC1 now starts on client when client starts up, unlike beta5. I'm using ubuntu 17.10 on synergy server and 16.04 on client. Thanks, Jim1 point

Yes this is working well for me too, thanks1 point

Some people, surprisingly, said beta4 had better performance than beta5. But, it sounds like RC1 is better than both which is good.1 point

RC1 is out on AUR, ive had to reboot my laptop after instaling over beta 4. On my PC I could use it right away after removing beta 4 first(to test if it would install on fresh system, figured it would be the best)1 point

try restarting your computer,(or systemctl daemon-reload) and if that doesnt work removing and then installing it again. the service is from the old beta 4 and shouldn't work.1 point

Thanks for the info! I think that people were mainly upset because they were uncertain/confused about what your policy is. ANY answer is better than no answer.1 point

I think they want my head on a pike? Seriously though, anyone who has lifetime access gets a free upgrade. All they need to do is email us: [email protected] I don't get why people are so bent out of shape about this. I guess people like to get upset? Life's too short.1 point

This is a feature we're planning for 2.1 (due Q1 next year).1 point
