  1. Okay... Added Port Fix and seems to work now. Seems weird that this would work, but when I had both firewalls down, it did not work. Suggestion - Option to force a refresh/restart of service via the Synergy window instead of this or a force re-test. I still don't understand how allowing the port, but not the application unless it was one of the other 2 listed. I only dealt with the Synergy2 and Synergys apps. I also don't understand what changed so drastically, as I was working fine until the day of my router going boom for no reason and doing a windows update, thinking it was rel

  2. I believe the information in the cloud is incorrect and would like a mechanism to remove/clear that information so I can start over from scratch. For now, I am forced to go back to Synergy 1 as I have to use these systems and there's no solution available yet.

  3. I wish I had thought to check those requirements before purchasing as well - I'm much in the same position as the OP, in that my only internet connection is a very slow DSL. I can get one computer to connect, or the other....but not both. Frankly I'm kind of surprised that the local network idea was "kicked around" but not adopted - requiring a constant internet connection to connect two local computers is an absolute waste of bandwidth, regardless of how fast someone's connection is. From a security standpoint, with the amount of access that Synergy already has to my system, a constant pho

  4. I get somewhat frequent disconnects when I close my laptop and walk to a meeting with it. Both of my devices are macs. To reconnect the magic dance I do that seems to be working (might be overkill) adds on to @Fun Bobby's commands above: killall -v -m synergy; launchctl kickstart -k -p gui/`id -u`/com.symless.synergy.v2.synergyd; open /Applications/Synergy.app Note the above command uses back quotes "`" to grab the output of id -u so you don't need to copy it around.

  5. Hi Kringle.. Per my second post I did get it going with Ubuntu 16.04 master / Win8.1 slave.. I'm prepared to go through a fair bit of messing about at home to have it working as i really like the solution but at work I'll have to stick with V1.*. And, having said that, after multiple restarts this morning I couldn't get the windows machine or linux box to come green, let or loan see each other. :-) Going back to 1.* for the moment and will check again when the next beta is out.. (The extra $15 does not worry me, was already a paid user and like the product.)
