  1. Hey, Synergy two has been great and so far, apart from getting it working, I have had no problems. My first idea would be to link up all audio to the server so a youtube video for example played on one computer comes out the speakers of the server. The second is that when in an environment where your mouse is used to turn 360 degrees (such as a game), you are unable to turn the whole way due to it tabbing you out as it puts your curser on the other computer - It would be great if Synergy realized that you were in this type of environment and would not do this as the only way to

  4. And you'd be right! That's a common issue. It'll be fixed in beta5. We're working on a new dynamic networking layer to solve this.

  5. It's that when I'm in some locations, I don't want it to be making any form of connection out, or listening for incoming ones. Especially in an instance where I'm tethered to a mobile device - this then eats into mobile data allowances, needlessly. Hence wanting a way to completely disable the service without having to delve so much under the hood of the OS. At the same time, I don't really want to have to have different firewall profiles for different connection mechanisms, as by and large I trust the applications I run. Synergy is one of the few that runs as a service that m

  7. Actually, the real reason is that several of my systems are used in multiple locations. Many of those locations I do not want Synergy (or any other thing of similar ilk) broadcasting or trying to connect to systems. The right way to give this functionality is a simple off switch, which in the present beta is not there. Like many others, I've reverted to 1.8, for a number of reasons, but this is one of them. EDIT: I would like to say that I do feel that it's unfair for application developers such as yourselves to have to work around shortcomings in macOS, but

  8. I'm getting the same error on my Mac. I've closed the program using activity monitor and restarted - still "shows" connected but mouse doesn't move across. Is there another "service" name I need to kill on the Mac? Nevermind - found 3 services and killed/restarted. Working again now.

  9. Bought Synergy pro 1 yesterday and struggled to get it to work. After several hours of opening firewalls and configuration, it finally worked but was very laggy on my mac client. My teeth grinding a bit, I bought the beta and thankfully it connected immediately and self-configured. Its working really great so far - very snappy performance.

  10. Solved: Had to completely shutdown Synergy on all 3 computers using Activity Monitor (all 3 CPS processes of Synergy on Mac, and Ctrl-Alt-Del on Windows). Then re-start on all 3.

  11. Was able to get it to reconnect, but had to completely disable windows firewall despite having firewall entries for Synergy. I had some older synergy firewall settings on my computer, ripped out and redid Synergy firewall setting. I re-enabled firewall and it looks like it is working at the moment.

  12. Thanks! I guess I should have looked at the org on github before posting... In any case, the links need updating.

  13. Comparing commit hashes with a cached version of the repo, they just renamed it: https://github.com/symless/synergy-core. This looks to have happened a within the last day, so they probably just haven't gotten around to updating all the links yet.

  14. Warning: Beta versions are not the finished product, and are unstable. We also took some features out temporarily, which we're adding back in gradually. Please purchase only if you like trying out bleeding edge software that contains bugs. Do not use this in a production environment.

  15. I'd expect that too. If you could assure us that the Synergy 2 release version won't be Synergy 1 Now With 25% Less Features, I'd be more than happy.
