  2. Solved/Success: What I did ... 1. Completely remove Synergy from Ubuntu 16.04 using Ubuntu software (you may have to reboot if you have not done so since install to populate Ubuntu software) 2. Go to Files and search for Synergy (Activate hidden files with Ctrl-h) 3. Delete anything Synergy related (besides .deb file downloaded) and empty trash 4. Reboot system (precautionary) 5. open terminal in directory of .deb file 6. install manually with: sudo dpkg -i synergy-v1.8.8-stable-25a8cb2-Linux-x86_64.deb 7. I had an error on the first try that said: Packa

  3. A personal cloud would be the nicest option as a quick click to start it, grabbing a machine icon and sliding it into position is a lot easier than configuring it via a text file, I'll blame you for spoiling me with ease of use in the V2 beta Starting synergy from the command line with the server IP and starting the server from the command line is not a problem. I use a product called ZeroTeir so I can have fixed IPs on my machines no matter which network I'm connected to, therefore I can script it all and just leave it running. Even without that it's no hardship. I'll have a look at th

  5. @Christopher Strickland I think we're all as stoked as you potentially are as to the plan that @Nick Bolton has to make the non-early access Synergy 1 users happy, but to answer your other question, the early access is still available for $5 and that, according to Symless, is going to cover the final release of Synergy 2 Pro. You can download that here. Enjoy!

  6. Hi @Holly Mac. Sorry to to hear about that. Please provide more details about your machines (OS, 32/64 bit, Synergy version installed, connected to the network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, specify which one is the server). Also, post a screenshot of both machine's Synergy interface and the Server Configuration interface on your server machine.

  8. Hey @Nahian. Ideally, when you press any keyboard keys or mouse buttons on the current client machine, it'll make it the server. Although we find it buggy right now. This will definitely be improved on the the next versions though. Also, if the other machine(s) doesn't respond to the machine claiming to be the server, you can press F12 on that machine for it to for the others to listen to it as the server.

  10. Hi Nick, good idea. I knew going in that this was going to be a little rocky and I hope others knew that too. I love this software and wanted to help provide feedback for the latest version, but, also knew I couldn't rely on it for my production setup just yet. Keep up the good work and looking forward to more releases!
