Since a half year now, I'm a Synergy user. It's far from perfect (but nothing that can't be fixed), but it does the job. However, with version 2, I'm worried about the cloud integration. As Synergy is a virtual KVM switch, it has access to your keyboard, mouse and clipboard all the time. This makes interesting things possible for malicious people (or even governments). Synergy 1.X works local, but I see a change in version 2. It even needs the cloud to log you in the first place, so it's directly attached to your person. And that's creepy. It also rises questions... Where

I see this new cloud integration and think it would have potential to fix a big issue I have currently. I have two computers on separate networks and would love to use them with Synergy. My work machine is on my corporate network, and my personal machine is on the guest network. With this cloud stuff, I could see you guys bridging the two for Synergy. Of course, I'd want this all encrypted end to end. Is this possible?

Hi, I was just wondering why with this new version it has to go out to the internet in order for it to work ? Is it because its a Beta or is this how the final version is going to be ?

Hi, I've been using Synergy 2.0 beta for a couple of hours, I rely on the previous version to boost my productivity in operating across different PCs in the same office. Unfortunately I have to roll back to previous version, despite the new interface being nice and clean. Here's my experience, starting with my usual PC set-up: PC-1: A regular desktop PC with 1080P screen, scale level 100% (this is important, will talk about later), this is what I sit in front of most of the time in the office, I have one similar at home, also set up with Synergy 1.8.8, This PC is server/master.

This may just be a later to fix issue, but the windows in 2.0 do not close to system tray, they must stay open and you have to minimize them. When 2.0 is launched will it allow you to close it and upon close minimize to the system tray so It's not open on the task bar while in use?

I'm using a Magic Mouse 2 and Sierra 10.12.6. I wonder if there's a driver in my systems enabling the Quartz message... Thanks for the info and link.

@Namtr0 What @Paul Suarez means is that this will be fixed in beta3 (due in 2-3 weeks).
