Troy Hess 0
When I make my MacBook (OS X 10.10.4) the server, my Windows 10 PC the client, I cannot connect to the sever: "Failed to connect to server: Timed out". But, if I make the Windows 10 PC the server and the MacBook the client, it works fine. Any ideas? I have tried with/without SSL, turning off ALL firewalls, reinstalling Synergy (v1.7.3)... nothing. Troy Hess 0
FIXED! Turns out when I said I had turned off all firewalls, I had forgotten about the McAfee Firewall my company installs. Although it was set to "Trust Local Subnet", I still had to manually disable "reject incoming pings" and change the Firewall "mode" from "Regular Mode" to "Adaptive Mode"... This allowed me to add an "adaptive" rule that allows requests from my PC and Synergy through. Thanks to Wes (Synergy Help Desk) for making me "triple check" that my firewalls were all disabled!
