Kelvin Tran 142
From reading your logs, it would seem that Synergy is indeed registering your action of moving the mouse cursor from one system to the other. The warning that you're experiencing is completely normal. As Synergy has to do this through Wi-Fi in most cases, it has to expect latency and it's just warning you of that. Even with Ethernet, there is still a tiny bit of latency that you have to prepare for. Are you even seeing the mouse cursor or are you just concerned about the warning in the logs? If you're not seeing the mouse cursor, try clicking around for a couple of seconds. If not, come back here and the community can help you troubleshoot further.
Izenn 0
Unfortunately neither mouse nor keyboard actions are being registering on the client. the screen will wake up but that is about all. The only thing i can think of (at the moment) is that selinux is preventing synergy from working properly. I will try to disable that next time i'm at the office.
Kelvin Tran 142
Okay, let us know how that goes!
Paul Suarez 107
Hi everyone! Can you try using v1.9.0rc3 from the tagged thread below? Please let us know how it works after trying that version.
Izenn 0
with the new version i get a steady stream of the following warning just by moving the mouse: [2017-08-14T10:01:37] WARNING: unknown quartz event type: 0x1d
Izenn 0
Also, i forgot to mention that disabling SELinux didn't change anything
Ben247 0
I have version 1.10.1-stable-894124e and I experience the 'WARNING: cursor may not be visible'. My cursor completely disappeared and I have to restart both of my computers. This is not good.
Guest
Hi Which OS's you are using?
Kalindi 0
I'm getting the same error. I just signed up for Synergy because I bought a new imac and want to be able to work on them both at the same time but it worked for about 2 seconds and let me drag a file over to the new mac and then it had that error message about Sursor may not be visible and it wont let me bring my mouse over onto the old mac...i have to go back to using two mouses and keyboards... Guest
Hello @Kalindi Can you please clarify which OS's you are using and your Synergy version installed?
Kalindi 0
My old mac is a MacOS Mojave Processor 3.2 Ghz Intel Core i5. The new one is MacOS Catalina version 10.15.1 processor 6-Core Intel Core i5 It also keeps freezing up my computer and not working. I restarted and logged back in and it worked for a little while and then as soon as i try drag and drop it froze again and the app wont even re-open on old computer. New computer it opens but has a error message: The executable /application/synergy.app/contents/macOS/cynergs could not be successfully started although it does exist. Please check if you have sufficient permission to run this program.... But it was just working before it crashed... Also i am using the paid version for single person. Patrick Heusser 0
Same problem but the funny thing is, it worked for more than a day perfectly. It just started - without even doing anything on the computer... I also have a mac and a pc connected.
Patrick Heusser 0
And as an addition, sometimes it works again but then the clipboard fails... seem to be pretty unstable...
