Dean Landon 3
All the squares are green on the iMac (slave) and Mac Pro (master), but I can't get the mouse on the master to go to the slave display. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Paul Suarez 107
Hi @Dean Landon. Have you tried pressing the F12 already?
Dean Landon 3
I'm confused. F12 on a Mac keyboard brings up the Volume indicator pictured below. This can't be correct...
Dean Landon 3
Paul, I seen you suggest to others to press the F12 key. What does that actually do?
Jeff W. 0
I am experiencing the same issue. Windows box should be the master but is the slave and Macbook should be the slave and is the master. any ideas on how to swap this?
Dean Landon 3
Can someone explain how to work F12?
Dean Landon 3
Jeff, I don't know if you've tried this but when I drag the cursor to the bottom left corner of the main screen, the cursor ends up on the slave display. I still can't figure out how to do this dragging the cursor from anywhere else on the left side of the master display.
DJ_DoubleU 3
Quote @Dean Landon - Can someone explain how to work F12? Pressing the F12 Key (at least on PC) will force "claim to be Server" allowing you to now use that machines mouse and keyboard VS another machines. DJ_DoubleU 3
You may need to press the "Fn" key to access the F12 Function. But Alternatively you can change them altogether. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu. Click Keyboard. Click the Keyboard tab if it's not already highlighted. Select "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204436
Sandman 0
I'm also interested in finding the settings. I'd like to change my key mappings so they are more intuitive on my macOS slave.

You can see it in the log window by pressing ` . Then a log window should drop down and you will see the command "Claim to be server" show up whenever you press the key (As shown in the image). i havent seen any other indicators outside of this log window...

DJ_DoubleU 3
Not much. but i was reading an article that said basically Some quartz related events are known to be generated by trackpads and Magic Mice on OS X Lion and normally they will be simply forwarded, to the next screen, but only if the server screen has the focus. i assume issues related to this would be on a laptop and might be a driver type issue?? not really sure tho. Here is a Related Article that i found. https://gist.github.com/ehabkost/2957217 Â Â
Dean Landon 3
I'm using a Magic Mouse 2 and Sierra 10.12.6. I wonder if there's a driver in my systems enabling the Quartz message... Thanks for the info and link.
Synergy Team Nick Bolton 407 Posted August 4, 2017 Synergy Team Share Posted August 4, 2017 We hid the quartz message in beta3, as it was a red herring. @Dean Landon Are you still having problems connecting? It could be down to a bug in the config UI which we're working on (due in beta5 or beta6).
