I'm running a windows server with a osx client. When I try to establish a connection, I get this: [2017-05-23T02:21:41] NOTE: accepted client connection [2017-05-23T02:21:41] WARNING: unrecognised client name "macbook", check server config [2017-05-23T02:21:41] NOTE: disconnecting client "macbook" From the client side it looks like this: [2017-05-23T02:21:06] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.136': 192.168.0.136:24800 [2017-05-23T02:21:06] ERROR: server refused client with name "macbook" [2017-05-23T02:21:06] WARNING: failed to connect to server: server refused client with our name [2017-05-23T02:21:07] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.136': 192.168.0.136:24800 [2017-05-23T02:21:07] ERROR: server refused client with name "macbook" Tips? Mr Coffee 0 Posted May 23, 2017 Share Posted May 23, 2017 i have had the exact same problem and i am kicking myself on how simple the fix is. you need to make sure you click on the "configure server..." Ā button and as you drag and drom your desktop where you want them that you name them exacly the same name as your screen name that you entered in to the setting window. hopefully this helps. We are going to make a lot of changes with Synergy's user interface on v2. Although, we can't provide an ETA yet.
