Rudolf Hawkins 0 Posted May 16, 2015 Share Posted May 16, 2015 In one computer I have the following: Windows 8.1 Server box checked Configure interactively box checked. This computer is displaying the message "Failure to connect to server: Connection was refused." This message is repeating about every two seconds. On the other computer I have Windows 7 Server box is not checked Client (use another computer's mouse and keyboard) box is checked. The repeating message is "connecting to '192.168.1.4: 192.168.1.4:24800" then "failed to connect to server: Timed out. What do I need to do to connect? Link to post Share on other sites
Jenel 1 Posted February 3, 2016 Share Posted February 3, 2016 According to your log "Failure to connect to server: Connection was refused.", it looks like the server is still acting as a client. This may be because you previously had it configured as the client and then switched to server without also clicking the "Apply" button. Is this still happening? The second issue is the Time Out on the client. This almost always is due to a firewall on the server. Link to post Share on other sites
