David Abel
Hello, I am a new user of Synergy and would really like to get it working, but I'm having some issues. If anyone has any input on my situation, I would greatly appreciate it. I continually get a WARNING: failed to connect to server message. I have the server and client both installed on separate PCs running Windows 10 I can ping both of them on my network, both ways. On the client, the server IP is set to the IP address that is in bold on the server. Here is the log info from the server: 2017-02-14T21:53:28] INFO: watchdog status: error [2017-02-14T21:55:08] INFO: starting server [2017-02-14T21:55:08] INFO: config file: C:/Users/DAVETH~1/AppData/Local/Temp/qt_temp.gq3016 [2017-02-14T21:55:08] INFO: log level: INFO [2017-02-14T21:55:08] INFO: service command updated [2017-02-14T21:55:08] INFO: starting new process [2017-02-14T21:55:08] INFO: activeDesktop:Default [2017-02-14T21:55:08] INFO: starting new process [2017-02-14T21:55:08] INFO: drag and drop enabled [2017-02-14T21:55:08] NOTE: started server, waiting for clients [2017-02-14T21:55:08] INFO: watchdog status: ok And the log info from the client: [2017-02-14T21:54:48] INFO: watchdog status: error [2017-02-14T21:55:26] INFO: starting client [2017-02-14T21:55:26] INFO: config file: C:/Users/Pixelmap/AppData/Local/Temp/qt_temp.Hp1440 [2017-02-14T21:55:26] INFO: log level: INFO [2017-02-14T21:55:26] INFO: service command updated [2017-02-14T21:55:27] INFO: starting new process [2017-02-14T21:55:27] INFO: activeDesktop:Default [2017-02-14T21:55:27] INFO: starting new process [2017-02-14T21:55:27] INFO: drag and drop enabled [2017-02-14T21:55:27] NOTE: started client [2017-02-14T21:55:27] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:27] INFO: watchdog status: ok [2017-02-14T21:55:28] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:29] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:30] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:31] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:32] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:33] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:34] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:35] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:36] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:37] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:38] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:39] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:40] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:41] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:42] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:43] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:45] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:46] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:47] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:48] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:49] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:50] NOTE: connecting to '192.168.0.1': 192.168.0.1:24801 [2017-02-14T21:55:51] WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection was refused [2017-02-14T21:55:51] INFO: service command updated [2017-02-14T21:55:52] INFO: process started but command is empty, shutting down [2017-02-14T21:55:52] INFO: got ipc shutdown message [2017-02-14T21:55:52] NOTE: stopped client [2017-02-14T21:55:53] INFO: process 6148 was shutdown gracefully
