I had an old version on synergy and have used it for a while with my wndows 10 desktop and windows 10 laptop as the client. I saw an updated and paid $10 to get updated. I'm updated, and now all the desktop does is say connecting... then Failed to connect to server: Timed out. How can i fix this? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jeffrey Lee Brown Jr Posted October 7, 2016 Author Share Posted October 7, 2016 Finally! Just spent the last 3 hours trying to figure out the issue. Visit viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2015 I followed the steps and like the post said to do, "I deleted everything under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Synergy." I then had to reinstall synergy and had to configure the server and manually re-add the second monitor to the configuration. Finally it's working! I hope this helps anyone having this issue. Many posts said about your virus protection, or windows firewall could be blocking it, yet I had everything (including the router firewall) disabled and still didn't work. Working well now.
