Setup Synergy Client to Run at Greeter Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

I followed the usual setup that I had used with previous versions of Synergy on my Linux box to have Synergy load at the greeter so I can login from the shared keyboard. However, I have encryption enabled and I get this in the in the server log:

[2016-09-07T08:43:28] NOTE: accepted client connection

[2016-09-07T08:43:38] WARNING: failed to accept secure socket

[2016-09-07T08:43:40] NOTE: accepted client connection

[2016-09-07T08:43:50] WARNING: failed to accept secure socket

[2016-09-07T08:43:52] NOTE: accepted client connection

[2016-09-07T08:44:02] WARNING: failed to accept secure socket

[2016-09-07T08:44:04] NOTE: accepted client connection

The command I run in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf is:

greeter-setup-script=/usr/bin/synergyc --debug NOTE -name CLIENT --enable-crypto SERVER:24800

If I run the same command (the part after the greeter-setup-script) at the command line after I login it, it works without issue.
