Dont Even know whats broken

The following is the log update after installing the program on my pc, after trying to connect from my mac. I tried deleting the program and reinstalling but same problem. Please help. there isn't much here to compare but I had the same issue and I found that it was a results of Synergy forcing my config to use the wrong "name" for my computer. It's hardcoded in the registry under in two places.

 

If you open a terminal window and enter the following command you'll be able to change them:

regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Synergy\Synergy

 

In your case you would change your

screenName

to Windows which I assume you set in the configure screen when Synergy is running.

 

The other one is at:

regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synergy\Synergy

 

Edit the

Command

entry to remove the

--name

argument that is forcing Synergy to use the wrong screenName.

 

I get the feeling that this is a bug. Shouldn't you be able to change the server screenname without Synergy having a FATAL error?

I had the exact same problem, tried the registry fix - failed

 

I completely uninstalled and removed reg keys and reinstalled. I suspect this has something to do with MS as the issue only presented itself this AM after my win 10 updated itself.
