@Nick Bolton Nick, Nope, its one of the most useful applications I've ever found and its not expensive and I'm more than happy to support the company and future product development. Thanks for the offer though.2 points

Hi, I've installed the beta version on my windows (server) and mac (client) and I've a little lost - as seems to be my interface. Granted, the server and client seem to be aware of each other other's existence as boxes in a blue back drop, but how do I configure client and server now? Literally, what do I do? Thanks, Tara1 point

I'm also having issues. I just purchased and installed it on my Surface Book (W10 Pro) and my work desktop (W7 Enterprise). They both see each other but I have no interaction. It shows the W7 Enterprise as green while the Surface Book W10 is not showing green so potentially that's the issue? I understand the interface is going for simplicity but maybe add an expert option for people who were used to the previous settings of Synergy 1?1 point

That's something we'd love to do, and it's planned for this year. Should be possible, it's only a matter of time.1 point

Hey, sounds like you need beta5 (coming soon) which will handle networking in a smarter way. Right now it does use the cloud, but it's not very adaptable for when you change your network config.1 point

Hi Jmwarren - I've had issues with the keyboard shortcuts and windows/ apple special keys in the past but it seems to be getting better, but I really am at a loss this time and I feel I must be just ignorant, I mean - How do I configure anything? Is the product meant to be auto-detecting and configuring now? I was looking for release notes to tell me what the differences were just I've not found them :(I may just take your advice.1 point

yeah, me too Mike. My Linux computer is my central/development machine. Beta4 just doesn't like my Linux. I just finished reinstalling 1.8 across the board. I'm hoping Symless will let me resume at beta5.1 point

Worth pointing out that the majority of users are likely to be from an IT admin background and fussy about this kind of thing, and cloud dependency. Most of us capable of setting up configuration without needing cloudy pictures to do it. Agree that for end-users-what-lack-an-clue it is nice. My guess is anyone paying for beta access to this particular utility wants it local, configurable and reliable. /2d1 point

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep using the old version until you fixed the bug. I can be your test case Klaas1 point

Hi Nick, Given that most people don't have the knowledge to manually start/stop services on OSX, I have to rather strongly disagree with this statement. There *needs* to be a way to turn Synergy *off* on a Mac that doesn't require people screwing around with launchctl, in my opinion.1 point

I don't know what other thinks about, but in my opinion Synergy 2 is a step backwards regarding configuration-ability and stability. Dependence: Because of the dependency of the running cloud services (see several threads here, when the cloud service is offline). If your internet connection gets lost for whatever reasons, or you have any network issues because of a broken switch, you can't continue using Synergy 2 anymore? When using Synergy on multiple machines I want to use it anywhere and anytime in every situation (if I have internet access or not). Restricted network: In1 point

Topic 3888-bad-gateway is not a problem anymore. The license check now works for me.1 point

Ah yeah, that's super annoying how you can't tell which computer is which. At the very least, a tool tip would have been useful! I've prioritized the rename computer feature for beta6, it's definitely needed.1 point

Got my Windows 7 Pro (x64) PC talking to my Windows 10 (x64) Surface Pro with zero issues here, setup and config (or lack of) was instant.1 point

It seems temperamental as it's working now on beta4.1 point

It currently has 2-way connection, so I think that would solve your problem. We're working on a features page, but that's the main feature.1 point

I have to admit i assumed it wasnt working simply because when i was testing it i hadnt futzed it through my firewall yet... Mea culpa, it is now working as intended. Oh and AVG has just now sent me a popup your Synergyc.exe is secure so that will help future generations not have the hassle i had1 point

Karl, The early access beta is exclusive to customers who pay for the early access. The beta is worth $19, and they are going to give you the final version of Synergy 2 Pro (worth $49) for free. These are not jokes. You are most likely being taken to the 1.8 download page because you don't have a Synergy 2 Pro beta license. The only way to get that is to pay. It's just the way it is. It used to be $5, but they had jacked the price to $19 recently. You pay now or you pay ~1.5-2x more later for a final version. Take your pick of choice, but either way, you are going to have to pay for Syner1 point

I had this issue myself. Simply uninstall Synergy 2 and then reboot and reinstall it. Did the trick for me.1 point

Hi all, Synergy 2 beta4 is now live (download beta4). In this version added a service for all operating systems (so it runs in the background) and we fixed the scaling problems with the autodiscovery feature. The new service code is highly experimental, so if you're having problems getting connected please read the beta4 troubleshooting guide. If the guide doesn't help, or if you'd like to share your feedback, please open a new thread. Enjoy! Thanks, Nick1 point

Lock cursor to current screen when gaming. I would LOVE to add "snap cursor to PC X and THEN lock" but i could never get that to work.1 point

Hi, No worries, most of us know what beta means. And we tipped you a coffee(because 5$ can't really be called a purchase) to help you speed things up with the development cycle and maybe a small fuzzy feeling that people appreciate your work. However, you should take our feedback more seriously, because final customers, that will pay $25-$50 for the product, will be drastically more demanding. Personally, I already don't like the way things are headed: - lack of connectivity via Synergy when Symless Cloud is down, even if my machines are on the same network; - the impossibility to ha1 point

. . . Re: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2364 Synergy Issues (Bugs) on MacOS Post by Michael Park ยป Wed Feb 15, 2017 10:44 am Hi, I've used Synergy for several years (5+), but am new to these newer forums. After my first post on Feb 11, 2017 ("Synergy & Moom (MacOS)"), I read many posts made by other users regarding issues that I've been experiencing for years, and that are apparently still unresolved (smh). Fyi, I use 2-3 identical iMacs, same high-end model hardware and software on all machines. And all are connected via gigEthernet and ethernet switch. 1) The lag over WiFi ha1 point
