adenot
Is it possible to configure it in a way that when I move the mouse in the server, the mouse also moves in all clients? I need to operate 4 machines with one mouse/keyboard, all machines run exactly the same OS and client software and I need to perform an operation at same time in all 4. Thanks in advance. Allan. Brian S.
Hey Allan, The only way this could ever be practical is when all systems are identical (as far as screen size, all mouse settings, probably operating system...) and this is very rare. The pointers would have to be continuously re-synchronized to ensure proper position, which would require a huge amount of network communication. Most Synergy users are running different kinds of systems (a Linux, Windows, Mac, or at least different Windows versions...). Synergy doesn't have any such feature, and due to lack of demand it is extremely unlikely to ever be added. Did you know that there is software which can record keystrokes/mouse movements? You can record all your actions, then replay them on another system. Here's an app for Windows: http://www.asoftech.com/autome/ Here's one for Mac: http://download.cnet.com/Keyboard-And-M ... 33723.html I don't know much about either of those as far as possible included malware and such, but thought I'd bring up some examples. I've used keyboard/mouse recorder software in the past (long ago, forgot the name) and it was very useful/easy. - Brian
