Server works on Windows but not Mac

Hi, I'm having trouble getting Synergy to work as the server on my Mac. I use synergy to interact between my home Mac and work-issued Windows laptop. Work has recently made a change that blocks synergy with a firewall. If I have synergy on my Mac as server I can't connect as client on Windows computer. However, if I switch to use Windows computer as server it warns me that Windows Firewall is blocking some features and I can choose to still allow. If I allow then the Windows computer works as server and Mac connects just fine as client. If I reverse it it doesn't work again even though I've allowed firewall access. I'd really like the Mac to continue as the server, any ideas? Thanks! Jonathan
