Luther Posted July 24 Posted July 24 This morning, after an update on my main machine (with the mouse/keyboard), synergy failed to connect on my client machine. It also required me to log-in on that machine and, as it didn't have a mouse or keyboard attached, this was a pain. It was an even larger pain to find that it doesn't allow me to copy/paste into the serial key edit text box. After fiddling with settings, spare keyboards, turning the firewall on and off, it all suddenly started working again. There's nothing in the logs that I can see that indicate why this all changed and whilst I have keyboard and mouse sharing, the UI (Synergy 3 RC3) still doesn't show the other computers (the client is greyed out on the host and the host isn't shown on the client) 1 Quote
Bastina Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Hello @Luther It appears that after installing your update; you ran into an annoying synergy problem. Verify that the host and client computers are running appropriate versions of synergy and that the set of settings are accurate on both. As you mention playing with the a router; confirm that synergy is allowed on both systems through the internet connection. Check to make sure that the host and client can communicate with each other due to no network problems. To make sure all settings are applied correctly and connections are restored; restart the host and client computers. Make sure you have the most recent stable version of synergy installed. Consider starting over when setup Synergy if the UI problems continue. To make sure all settings are applied correctly, remove any previous setups and set up the host and client from start. Quote
