Synergy works as client on Linux Mint (20.1) but unable to function as server (Error code: 9)

Hey Synergy works perfectly well on my Linux Mint (20.1) laptop as a client, but I can't get it to be a sever. Here's the output from my log:

Note sure what the problem is besides that error code: 9. Please advise. I tried using the search function in the help section and only got an entry for error code 11. What's error code 9?
