Phurious 0
I am experiencing an issue with Synergy 2 that appears to be related to mouse acceleration. As I transition from System 1 to System 2 at a normal speed, my mouse jumps to the left of 80% of System 2's screen. Once in the screen mouse functions normally, including transitions between the two systems. Both systems are Windows 10, and the screens on both systems are set to 100% scaling. Guest
Hello @Phurious Can you please clarify for me when the issue is started? Also, have you tried Synergy 1?
Aedan 0
I was about to open a thread here as well for the exact same issue. When I transition with my mouse really from Windows 10 (server) to my MacBook Pro 16 inch (client), my mouse curser jumps back about 10% - 20% of the Windows 10 screen. When I go very slowly with my mouse then it works fine. The faster I go with the mouse the more resistance I get, as in, the more it jumps back. This is very annoying as I like having a fast mouse cursor. The issue only occurs when going very fast from Windows to Mac. The other way around works fine not matter the speed of my mouse cursor. I am using Synergy 1 with Windows 10 as server and MacOS (latest version) as client. For me this started happening maybe a month ago. Apart from the regular Windows and Mac updates, I have not installed or changed any of configuration. When I look at the log screen, it basically shows me that the mouse cursor jumps back multiple times within a split second [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: switch from "MSI" to "MacBookPro" at 0,490 [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: leaving screen [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: switch from "MacBookPro" to "MSI" at 1752,479 [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: entering screen [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: switch from "MSI" to "MacBookPro" at 0,497 [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: leaving screen [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: switch from "MacBookPro" to "MSI" at 1795,479 [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: entering screen [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: switch from "MSI" to "MacBookPro" at 0,498 [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: leaving screen [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: switch from "MacBookPro" to "MSI" at 1872,478 [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: entering screen [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: switch from "MSI" to "MacBookPro" at 0,495 [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: leaving screen [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: switch from "MacBookPro" to "MSI" at 1902,478 [2020-11-05T06:41:51] INFO: entering screen
Aedan 0
After doing all sorts of tests, including changing the resolutions on the Windows machine and Mac, disabling G Hub logitech software, using a different mouse etc. going through all synergy options with all kinds of different server and client settings, it seems that when I enable the setting "Don't take foreground window on Windows server" on the server, it works without any transition issues. What I noticed is, I had to fully restart synergy on both, server and client for it to take effect. Simply stopping and starting the server didn't work for some reason. It seems clicking "apply" and starting and stopping the synergy server and client doesn't always apply the new settings, that's why the first time around it didn't work. I started restarting synergy completely on server and client each time I changed an option. This way I am sure the new settings will apply. I am so glad this works now. It was driving me insane.
