Scrolling on client is greater than on server

I've noticed that when scrolling on a page (e.g. a web page) with my mouse on the client, a single swipe to scroll down (using an Apple Magic Mouse (2019)) it scrolls down multiple lines as opposed to the more fine scrolling (maybe 1 line) that it does on the server.

It does the same thing when scrolling horizontally as well.

I've attached some video examples (client ... it won't let me upload the nice and smooth scrolling server gif)

Yes, I should have mentioned the setup, apologies.

Client 1

  • MacOS v10.15.3
  • MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
  • 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
  • 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

Client 2

  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009)
  • 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo
  • 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
  • NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 2056 MB

If this isn't a bug I'm wondering if there is a setting or some code change I can make via Terminal or something that can adjust the scroll on clients?

I have a similar issue. Scrolling slower, and there's a pause before it starts scrolling. Also sometimes stops working at all.

Note though, that this is only happening on my MX Ergo mouse that I don't usually use at home, but I need to now with working from home all the time, the wired Logitech GS mouse works fine.

Server:

  • Windows 10

Client:

  • MacOs 10.14.6
