Lars Kumbier Posted August 4, 2015 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Currently, a client GUI auto-connecting to the server shows the server certificate's fingerprint and the server GUI shows a screen for the auto-connection and where to put the client in relation to the server screen. However, the server GUI does not show the fingerprint, making it impossible to compare both together. That is a security risk and should be avoided. I propose to show a simplified fingerprint on autoconnect on both the server and the client GUI during the initialisation like so [code] AAAA-BBBB CCCC-DDDD EEEE-FFFF [/code] This makes it easier to compare the fingerprint of the server on both GUIs and enhances security.
